Why Anchorage

Head north. At 61 degrees north, Anchorage lies slightly farther north than Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki and Saint Petersburg.
Anchorage gives you a view of six mountain ranges: The Chugach, Kenai, Talkeetna, Tordrillo, Alaska and Aleutian.
Bear country! Approximately 250 black bears and 60 grizzly bears live within urban Anchorage and the surrounding area.
Moose on the loose: Majestic and a common sight, more than 250 moose call Anchorage their summer home. Winter attracts around 1,500.
Living in Anchorage
Anchorage offers a heady mix of outdoor adventure and culturally rich city life—art galleries and an inspired restaurant scene—all with a small-town vibe.
Anhorage is home to all the stunning beauty that the US’s last unspoiled wilderness has to offer.
Short, warm summers that are perfect for festivals and al fresco dining make way for dynamic winters ideal for snowmachining, hockey and skiing North America’s longest continuous double black run at Alyeska Resort.
Working on “the slope”
Working in an oil and gas facility in Alaska’s Prudhoe Bay – aka “the slope” – offers attractive lifestyle opportunities to people from across the country. Jobs typically run on a two weeks on, two weeks off rotation, with 12-hour shifts each day. All-you-can-eat, restaurant-quality meals are served four times daily to support 24-hour operations. Accommodation is dormitory-style and flights on chartered jets to and from Anchorage and the slope are provided by the client.
